Her officers got on the controls all they had was the basic class they took on Engineering in the academy. With the ships consoles which had symbols that didn't make much sense to the officers. They worked hard to figure out how to jettison the core before it was to late.

Louisa had a rudimentary understanding of Klingon at best, she could make out a few words, not being able to speak them for the life of her, but being able to understand it to an extent. She obviously wouldn't get any conjugation or anything like that correct, but she would be able to get some understanding, at least she hoped.

The console she looked at read.
tera' ngaD rIl veS'egh che'wI' qo'qoy'a'
It seemed to be a selection menu of sorts asking her what system she was working on. Some words that might be known are veS'egh was Warp Core and that tera' ngaD was Engineering console.

She couldn't exactly understand what it was that would fit best. But this did confirm that this was an engineering console for her to use. She looked over the console and clicked the one word she understood; veS'egh. The Warp Core, hoping that she could try and jettison it.

"Aha!" She exclaims excitedly before pressing the button, figuring that this would manage to save the ship.

The doors at the bottom of the ship was about to open making a vacuum to space. They needed to get behind the doors that had started to close.
Lieutenant Lucero and her team were beamed just in time.
